Once the Fee Estimate and Initial Report are accepted, the design process is:

It is essential to carry out a site survey before any design work begins. The survey shows boundaries, levels, contours, existing features (trees, structures etc). This is essential information in ensuring drainage, access, retaining and other key aspects are correct in the design.

You may already have a current site survey plan and other documentation that can be used.

Photographs of the existing site, and plotting of any vegetation to be included in the new design, is also part of a complete site survey.

The scaled concept design is drawn up using the ideas that were discussed with Diana at the consultation and any subsequent ideas which may arise following the initial report.

The concept is presented to you for discussion and approval at up to three meetings of not more than one hour in duration to ensure that the design meets your individual lifestyle requirements and needs.

When you and Diana have agreed upon all the elements of the design, the final drawings are completed which include all details of the structural layout, paving, a planting layout and plant species list and all garden furniture and ornamentation required.

The specifications outline to the contractor all stages of construction and the materials that are to be used throughout the project. This enables an accurate quotation to be obtained.

At this stage you can take the plan and install the garden yourself or employ us to act as your agent to compile quotations from reputable contractors and oversee the construction of your new garden.
